The First Model and Fashion Congress proved to be a huge success in building awareness on the tragic effects of Typhoon Ondoy, through fashion.
Last November 20, 2009, during the first Model and Fashion Congress, the Fashion Designers Alliance Manila with major sponsor HG Studio together with Festival Supermall, GMA Artist Center, My Fame and Fortune presented, Ameliorate: Aid through Fashion.
The event featured a powerhouse presentation of the latest trends in fashion, which formed part of the collections of 17 members of the Fashion Designers Alliance Manila. These outfits were modeled by 26 talented models of the GMA Artist Center. HG Studio as part of this meaningful event, sponsored the Hair and Makeup of the GMA Artist Center models.
The event did not just feature the latest trends in fashion; it also became the drop-off point of donations for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy.

To further exemplify HG Studio’s growing presence in the metro, the studio was invited as one of the guests to witness the latest collection of Marc Jacobs.
As part of theFirst Model and Fashion Congress, Ur 105.9FM together with HG Studio presented “Ur a Rockstar” last November 15, 2009 at the Festival Supermall, Filinvest Alabang, Muntinglupa City.
The event featured a unique showcase of Glam-Rock fashion introducing haute couture fashion designers who displayed a strong eighty piece collection. This was accompanied by rock music from different rock bands that made the event more exhilarating. The HG Studio team took charge of the hair and makeup of the sixty models who participated in the event.
HG Studio, being the only studio in the metro that offers makeup, photography and events services under one roof, is proud to be a part of the COSMOPROF Asia at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center last November 11 to 13, 2009. COSMOPROF Asia is the premiere business-to-business beauty event encompassing all the sectors of the beauty and fashion industry.
HG Studio was there to witness all the latest trends, styles and products from all over the different sectors of the fashion industry including packaging, retail, natural health, beauty, and hair salon. The event was participated by a strong number of guests from all over the world who showcased their products and talents. Through HG Studio’s participation in this event, we hope to bring home new techniques and products on make-up, making HG Studio stand on stronger grounds in the field of makeup artistry.
The First Model and Fashion Congress at Filinvest, Alabang was the first of its kind in Philippine fashion history, being the only event to showcase the convergence of Models, Photographers and Talent Agencies. This event focused on showcasing the promising fashion industry of the Philippines by allowing models to showcase their talents and for talent agencies to discover new and fresh models.
HG Studio was elated and proud to be invited as a participant in this momentous event. The studio took charge of the hair and makeup of the models and photography for the event.
